Overview
RSPNG.com ("RSPNG", "we", "us") is the national vehicle safety and compliance platform operated for the Papua New Guinea Motor Vehicle Insurance Ltd (MVIL). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.
Data we collect
We collect information you provide directly — your name, email, phone, and account role — plus vehicle details such as plate number, VIN, make, model, and odometer readings. We also collect inspection records, safety sticker records, compliance alerts, enforcement scans, and audit log entries generated as you use the platform.
How we use your data
Your data is used to register and identify vehicles, record inspections and sticker issuance, send compliance and expiry reminders, support enforcement checks, produce reports for MVIL and RTA, and maintain system security and audit trails.
Data sharing
We share compliance-relevant data with authorised parties only: MVIL and the Road Traffic Authority (RTA) for registry and enforcement purposes, authorised inspection stations for inspections and sticker issuance, and police and traffic officers for enforcement. Sharing is limited to what each role is permitted to access.
Data security
Access to records is controlled by role-based permissions and row-level security. Sensitive actions are logged. We do not sell your personal data. Data is stored within the platform's managed infrastructure and is not shared with third parties for marketing.
Your rights
You may access the personal data we hold about you, export a copy of your data, request corrections, and request permanent deletion of your account and associated records. These actions are available from the Data Privacy section once you are signed in.
Data retention
We retain vehicle, inspection, sticker, and enforcement records for as long as they are required for legal, regulatory, and audit purposes. Account data is removed when you delete your account, subject to any legal retention requirements.
